[EN] Hail to competing sites / [RO] Salutări siteurilor concurente (2)

[EN] I came across quite a few interesting websites kept by foreigners living in the UK, and I’d also have things to say about those relevant to Romanians who have already settled here or would like to do it.

[EN] However, I now feel like drawing attention to the blog about living in northeastern Scotland belonging to an Indonesian woman.

[EN] Not only that her experiences are worth reading, but the motto of the site catches the essence of the way how many people feel about Scotland – Four seasons in one day. Two countries in one heart. About the weather, I’ll soon prove with pictures that it is really so.

[EN] As for how people feel about Scotland, I’ve already met enough Scottish people who, after living for a lifetime in England still regard themselves as Scots.

[EN] I also have a Romanian reader who seems to be in love with Scotland (and she lives in the same city as the Indonesian blogger!). Click here, here, here or here for her opinions about life in the UK.

[EN] On the blog that I am recommending, one can read funny things about the way native Brits use the English language, about a comparative view of the Brits’ and the Indonesians' problems with alcohol.[RO] Pe blogul pe care îl recomand, pot fi citite lucruri amuzante despre felul în care britanicii nativi folosesc limba engleză, despre o privire comparativă asupra problemelor britanicilor şi indonezienilor cu alcoolul.

[EN] ...or a whole series about how the Scottish people are, their culture, food, weather in Scotland etc, under the name Scotland Shocking Moments.

[EN] I really like this blog, because – irrespective of the fact that sometimes it reaches other conclusions than mine (it's a matter of taste, isn't it?) – it deals with many things of which I intend to write about myself.
