I thank God for His standards, and His standards are my standards, and I will not lower them. :)
God's abundant blessings on your life, kind friend ....

@ Gabi
That's an interesting position, but rather off-topic :-(
How about - as long as you are an anti-drug specialist - sharing some views here about how alcohol addiction could be cured?

ganduri senine,
Gabi
I lived in Brighton/Hove for over 5 years; studied at the University of Sussex (and now I am learning Romanian!).
How I was interested to see this posting! Yes, I think most Britons ("Brits" you say?) drink too much, on average, especially Sussex students. I don't drink except special occasions. I can't see the appeal in daily or "binge" drinking.
@ Duncan Hill
I'm glad to find your little confession on my blog, which only adds more 'weight' to what I've been writing throughout this series about many Britons' relationship with alcohol!
As long as you lived five years in Brighton and attended the University of Sussex, you may now that I'm not 'exaggerating' with my accounts.

If you can already read Romanian, I will be very interested in reading your comment related to another episode of the current series:

Obviously, you're most welcome to offer other opinions, criticizing remarks, amendments, nuances, adjustments etc to any of my opinions about Britain.
You could use English when commenting on what I wrote in English, and try to practice your Romanian when giving your opinion to my blog posts written in my mother tongue! :-)
