God’s place in a humanist society (8) [Locul lui Dumnezeu într-o societate umanistă]
And things work as long as the Nanny State manages to provide rules (laws, instructions, regulations, prescriptions) for most spheres of human life, so that people could be told what is good and bad, and be spared from the effort of judging by themselves.
“If it’s not expressly illegal/forbidden, it means it’s not bad/immoral” – this is the mindset of most Brits, the same as that shared by millions of people from the contemporary supposedly civilised world.
Messages like these are being poked into your eyes because godless people are more and more less able to understand why something is (more or less strictly) forbidden, and something else is, on the contrary – recommendend.
As long as God’s voice in ourselves (our consciousness) has been suppressed ever since early childhood, a human being becomes a sort of Pavlov’s dog, conditioned to behave ethically only by interdictions and/or sanctions, plus immediate rewards, accessible like those on a supermarket shelves.
Or just to assure them that they are being watched. And that being watched is by no means an intrusion, an infringement of their rights, but some kind of a blessing. They are watched for their own good – so they are told.
These people believe that God’s presence in their consciousness is a hard thing to bear, yet inherently they need assurances – they fear for their lousy animalic lives, for the safety of their petty ambitions, for the comfort of satisfying their hedonistic aspirations...
The absolute madness of mass abortions, sexual education, gay rights (privileges, in fact), binge drinking, the global warming hysteria, consumerism – all these need to take place under watchful eyes.
These mad people rejected the eyes of the Supreme Being (The Holy Trinity), and replaced them with the look of an amorphous entity, this politically correct Big Brother.
I am sure that they just say I’m just another madman, but I dare saying to them: “Beware! This gentle and apparently benevolent Big Brother is just a forerunner of the Antichrist!”
I don’t fear any of their labels, as we were warned centuries ago, by the Holy Fathers of the Lords’s only One Church, that such times will come, when the world will be so full of mad people, who will call madman enyone who refuses to join them in their insanity.

(12) [This alcohol, a Brit's best friend?]

Weren’t Toyota and General Motors bitter rivals competing for the title of “number one car producer in the world” some years ago? And where are they now?
The miracle of Japanese cars – cheap and reliable (?!) – has crumbled. Fans of the brand who would have advised you to choose a Toyota some years ago, have now had enough of their lousy after-sale services (for instance, ask the Brits!).
Having survived the first blows that brought Chrysler and General Motors on the brink of collapse, Toyota only began to report a significant drop in sales by the end of 2008.
“Sic transit glory mundi,” the Romans would have exclaimed. Reaching to the top of the automotive production is not as simple as in the entertainment industry, yet downfalls appear to be as quick as those in the show-biz.

Femeile în UK (16) [Women in the UK]
– ci mă limitez a constata ceva.

“Many waters cannot quench love…” [“Marea nu poate stinge dragostea…”]
I crossed the white pedestrian bridge (built in 1881), took a glance at the daffodills, then followed a little alley, with the church (I don’t know which ‘Church of Scotland’ it was) on my right & the graveyard to my left.
Then I saw quote the shown in the fourth picture from the Song of Songs on the pavement: “Many waters cannot quench the love, nor can rivers wash it away (…)”
“(…) If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned”. I had gone to the UK broken-hearted, and the fabulous experience cured me.
As I gazed at the old tombstones through the young grass, I realized that we won’t pass beyond the grave with our experiences (no matter how spectacular or dull they were), but with our love.
Two months later, God would bring into my life the person to whom this peculiar blog post (as if they weren’t all pretty weird!) is especially addressed.
The Lord has been giving me a lot of blessings, along with humbling circumstances, as we all have a cross to bear. But what I yearned for and what I’m most grateful for is such a love.

Witty bits from what I learned in the UK (13) [Vorbe de duh din ce am învăţat în UK]
Overcrowding (of England in particular, see here and here) is a ‘threat’ which many politicians, scientists, artists or others and fashionable thinkers in the UK often invoke, in order to draw attention upon them.
There’s no need to offer evidence of overcrowding (although some doubt it), as long as they can quote Malthus saying that “population, when unchecked, increases in a geometrical ratio”.
There’s a simplistic ideology (based on only apparently solid facts), claiming that “many people born = a bad thing,” while “fewer people born = a good thing.” But are things really that simple?
Is a healthy (God-given!) birth rate a genuine threat or is this danger the result our our egoism? Large families manage their resources far better than the forcibly (through contraceptives and abotions!) reduced ones.
I wonder whether any honest scientist (sociologist, demographer, economist) has ever made a study proving something that seems very obvious to me…
…that the more children one family has, the less resources it consumes. Siblings are taught to share, while parents are stuggling to become economical.
On the contrary, contemporary hedonistic families (especially in a hedonistic country like today's Britain) with few or no children at all exhaust the planet, with all the delights of modern life they consider themselves entitled to.
Unknown to people who can only care of themselves, there’s an ongoing war on population. Some may say that I’m just a weirdo fooled by a conspiracy theory, but I simply can’t believe in the existence of coincidences.
Let aside the onslaught of broken families, alternative families, promiscuity, pornography, compulsory sexual education... Could all of these be merely innocent coincidences?
No, they are part of the prevalent ideology in today’s civilised world (?!), where those who bring to life as many children as God wants are irresponsible, while those who use contraceptives are sensible people who care about the planet.
This war on population is carried out on several fronts. Two of the main ones are the tireless abortionist agenda (offering murder as a lifestyle choice), and the attemps to curb immigration.
Also, on a subliminal front, women are gradually being seduced by the idea that childbearing is rather a distress than a bliss. They are taught to worship themselves, and the supposingly marvellous (but actually murderous) Pill.
And not only in the afterlife of which some are not aware, and others refuse to admit its existence – as if they could have refused to be born?!
After 40-50 decades of massive abortions, for countries like the UK and Romania there surely will be a reckoning day in the next 40-50 years. Only the Lord knows if a due punisment wouldn’t come even sooner.
Europe’s population is aging, and Britain makes no exception. When faced with such a dreadful perspective – countless milions of elders with no one to look after them – ‘wise thinkers’ no longer see immigration as problem, but as a solution for Britain.
Nevertheless, I remember having heard a completely different assesment of this challenge, while I was a Chevening Fellow: “All simulations show that migration is no solution to the aging problem.”
