[RO] Dimpotrivă, cred că pe cât apar online mai multe păreri alternative despre UK (două perspective româneşti în acest caz), cu atât este mai bine pentru oricine încearcă să-i înţeleagă pe britanici.

[EN] The impressive number of posts, and the variety of topics (mostly related to Foreign/European Affairs) amazes me and reminds me of the time I started blogging… as a Chevening Fellow. [RO] Numărul impresionant de postări şi varietatea temelor (cele mai multe legate de Afaceri Internaţionale/Europene) mă uimeşte şi îmi aminteşte de vremea când începeam eu blogging-ul, ca Chevening Fellow.

Bogdan, dar nu suntem concurenti, suntem complementari. Cine stie, poate succesorul meu la anul va gasi si mai multe informatii utile pentru a sti la ce sa se astepte aici.
Cat despre photoholic... well, nu cred ca te pot lua pe tine. Ai ramas celebru aici, printre profesori, pentru faptul ca erai mereu cu aparatul foto in mana. Asa ca am mult pana sa te concurez in aceasta privinta. Insa da, imi place sa fac fotografii si tot ceea ce vad in jurul meu este foarte ofertant.
Multumesc ca ai scris despre blogul meu. Subliniez, suntem complementari, nu concurenti.:)
ei, era un fel de a zice 'rivali' sau 'concurenti'...
si eu cred ca, de fapt, este vorba de complementaritate si de faptul ca, ce nu am vazut eu, poate vei observa tu, ori ce mi-a parut mie 'intr-un anume fel', tie iti va parea 'in alt fel'. de-abia astept pareri contrare, amendamente, precizari, nuante noi etc aduse celor scrise de mine!
eu zic ca e foarte bine sa fie asa si, poate, ca va prinde radacini aceasta traditie romaneasca a 'blogging-ului despre UK' careia vad ca noi doi îi punem bazele :)
in ceea ce priveste photoholismul, sti vorba aia... never say never... dc deja remarci ca UK ofera o priveliste foarte 'ofertanta' pt un fotograf, oricand te poate prinde acest microb.
La cat mai multe fotografii frumoase ca fata de Canada, urbanistic vorbind, UK are ce oferi. Cand e vorba de piesaje, Canada bate pe toti. Asta e, m-am obisnuit cu ideea :))

I have thousands of pictures from the UK, however, until now, I only put online a bit more than a couple of hundreds illustrating various posts.
I definitely have to post more images, both on this blog, and on my TravBuddy account.
So, is the urban landscape in Canada really that barren? :-(
Unfortunately, Canada has no tradition in buildings architecture. This is because all cities are relatively new ones. I think this is the truth for whole american continent not only for Canada.
Well, dear Vic, I don't know if we could extend our assumption to the 'whole' American continent :)
It's obvious that urban architecture can't have the long history of that in Europe, however, everywhere I've been to in the USA - Washington (D.C.), San Diego (CA), Des Moines (IA), Norfolk (VA) and NY City - I could find interesting 'bits' of architecture.
However, it's true that British architecture is more complex. If only the 'inner architecture' of these people will be equally interesting!
But consumerism, promiscuity and atheism are slowly guilty of a 'uniformization' of characters - people are turned into pathetic egoistic robots, who 'work' and 'have fun' but don't know of anything else, of any spiritual dimension of their lives!
